About Us
At Apex Orthopedic Rehabilitation we love to help people in their 30, 40’s, 50’s, 60 years old, get back to living the life they deserve. Which means a life free from painkillers, where you don’t have to worry about bothering the doctor, and can do and enjoy all of the things you love, without the fear of pain holding you back.
When something like chronic pain strikes in your knee, lower-back, neck or shoulders, or if you experience an injury from working around the home, a sport, exercise or being active with your children or grandchildren - we know it’s very tempting to leave it and hope it’ll simply “go away on its own” with time and rest… That you’ll wake up someday and like “magic”, it’ll be as if it never happened in the first place - but that’s usually not the case, and often the pain ends up worse than it was when it first started.
We also know it’s very easy to reach into the back of the cupboard for the painkillers, and take them whenever pain strikes so it eases off fast - but all those painkillers are no good for your health long-term, and do nothing but mask the pain instead.
Or, maybe you’re left feeling confused, even skeptical because you’ve sought advice from other healthcare professionals, massage therapist or a physical therapist in the past, and nothing they seemed to say or do helped.
Many things feel “good” at the time but most of your attempts never get to the “root” of the problem and delve deep to solve your pain and mobility for good!
Can You Relate?
If that sounds like you, you’re not alone. At Apex Orthopedic Rehabilitation we hear this all the time… In fact people who come to see us have often:
Any of those sound familiar?
If any of these have happened to you - we would love to help you by inviting you to book a call to talk with one of our physical therapists at our Paramus clinic to find out what can be done to help you. The fact that you’ve tried any or all of these things already, like many people we see, is actually a GOOD THING because when you know what doesn’t work - you are closer to finding the thing that does!
Click the link below to book a call with us if you would like to get some solid advice given to you over the phone. The phone call is complementary and there is no obligation to book any appointments with us after the call is over. Our goal is to help you make the right decision about what to do next for the best.

Tom is the owner and director of Apex Orthopedic Rehabilitation in Paramus. He opened the clinic, which specializes in spine and sports injury prevention, in 2004 after many years of experience in the field. Tom’s caring interest in others and his strong belief in continuity of care, combined with his clinic’s ability to find solutions for the most difficult orthopedic problems, have earned Apex Orthopedic Rehabilitation its excellent reputation with patients and medical professionals in northeastern New Jersey and beyond. A true “family man,” Tom takes pride in his clinic’s warm and welcoming environment. In late 2001 he met his future wife Sue from an old friend from River Dell High School. Shortly afterwards we had our three boys Ryan, Thomas and Matthew that continue to inspire to move and stay in shape as they grow. His passion is to move in different ways and continues to by continuing to mountain bike, ski and surf.
Tom’s passion for athletics and connecting with others, in addition to his personal experience with a high school football injury, ultimately led him toward a career in physical therapy. No stranger to life-altering pain, he is determined to help others get back to what they enjoy doing without relying on medications, unnecessary injections, MRIs, x-rays or surgeries. Tom truly wants his patients to feel better and move better in order to maintain an active lifestyle. His motto, simply put, is: JUST MOVE. He leads by example to encourage his patients to engage in any kind of movement, for it is the key to overall good health.
Tom enjoys furthering his knowledge in the field and educating others as well; he runs continuing education courses for local physical therapy clinics in the northern New Jersey area, hosts both in-person and online workshops, and posts informative blogs on his website and videos on his YouTube Channel and social media accounts frequently. In 2000, Tom traveled to Olympic Hospital in Madras, India to co-treat individuals with orthopedic physical therapy issues. He was recently featured on Coffee With Marci and the Dare to be Authentic Podcast. Tom is currently working on a book about low back pain and sciatica. .

"I came to Tom because I had some ankle pain. I'm a dancer, so every day I put a lot of stress and pressure and strain on my body, and on my feet. I came to Tom and got exercises to do, which weren't even that hard, didn’t take up that much time. I could see an improvement very quickly with my strength."
