At Apex Orthopedic Rehabilitation, patient care is central to everything we do. From the moment you step through the clinic door, we treat you like a treasured family member. That's how we do things over here in Paramus, NJ.

Our business isn't built on high-volume appointments and a faceless service where you see a different physical therapist every time. Instead, at Apex Orthopedic Rehabilitation, you see the same physical therapist for every single session during your course of treatment. We know that we get better results when we build rapport - and that’s what’s important. That you leave us feeling better than you did before. Otherwise, we’re not doing our job.

We help athletes – perform faster and smarter, and dancers protect their joints and recover from injury. Worn-out workers get a new lease on life, and with our help, active grandparents can start beating their grandkids in the 100m sprint.

We work with anybody who needs our help to move and live better. But we primarily work with people in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond who want to do more without the burden of pain, stiffness, or increasing lack of mobility.

Whatever your age, we help you get back to all the things you love to do – whether that's major league hockey, hiking the Shore Trail, or just getting out of bed in the morning without pain.

Where Does it Hurt?

Where is your pain?

Is it in your neck, arms, elbow joint, or shoulder?

Your lower back, hips, foot, or ankle?

Maybe for you, it's pain that radiates over (what feels like) your entire body?

When you have pain, wherever it is in your body, it’s easy to ignore it when you have a busy life. Work to do. Children to look after. You tell yourself that it’ll get better on its own in a few days, right? But in our experience, this is rarely the case. In most cases, the pain gets worse – especially when you've already had it for more than 7 days.

After you put it to the back of your mind for a while, getting through the days and nights by popping over-the-counter painkillers. They're harmless, right? Wrong. Long-term use of pain pills can have negative consequences for your long-term health. Plus, they don’t fix anything – they just mask the pain.

How Long Have You Been in Pain?

Don't worry. If you've been ignoring things for a while, you’re not the only one. We hear this all the time… In fact, many of the patients who eventually come to us have already:

  • Waited 3+ months for the pain to go away (it didn’t)
  • They have seen their family physician but got the standard advice to rest and take it easy and “Take some Advil” or given even more potent painkillers.
  • Tried YouTube exercises to try and fix the issue themselves at home. Guess what? It didn’t work.
  • Spent more time than they care to remember “resting” and following the doctor's advice while missing out on all the activities they love to do. In most cases, they rested so much that everything stiffened up, and the pain worsened.

Does that sound like you?

If it does, isn't it time you did something about it, so you can start living again? You don't have to endure daily aches and pains – even if medication and other therapies haven't worked before. The way we work is different – and much more effective than many other physical therapists.

Why not start with a free consultation with one of the physical therapists?

You can book a free call with us to chat through your pain issues and get some free advice on the best way forward. The call is 100% complimentary, with zero obligation to book further treatment. So what have you got to lose? (Except for the daily pain that keeps you awake at night).

Doctor of Physical Therapy

  • MS Physical Therapy, University of Miami
  • Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Certification (OCS)
  • American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) Certified Specialist

Tom is one of only a handful of the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) certified physical therapists in Bergen County. He’s also a certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a Doctor of Physical Therapy with an MS from the University of Miami.

Tom's desire to open a physical therapy clinic specializing in spine and sports injury prevention was driven by his own sports injury in high school. A serious injury that left him with “life-altering” pain. So, he has walked the walk and doesn’t just talk the talk. Ever since that injury on the football field, Tom has dedicated his education and working life to helping people get their lives back and escape from daily pain – without relying on pain pills, steroid injections, or dangerous surgeries.

Tom is well-versed in solving orthopedic problems. But his guiding philosophy for life, his business, and the continuing good health of his patients is, "Just move." He believes movement is the key to overall health and wellbeing and the prevention of musculoskeletal problems.

"I came to Tom because I had some ankle pain. I'm a dancer, so every day I put a lot of stress and pressure and strain on my body, and on my feet. I came to Tom and got exercises to do, which weren't even that hard, didn’t take up that much time. I could see an improvement very quickly with my strength."
