Recently I viewed a post from an Instagram influencer named Rasheeda about her workout routines and using a “Sauna Vest.”
First off, I NEVER want to discourage anyone from working out. I love that she is inspiring others to use natural ways to reduce body weight, get stronger and improve general health.
However, in this particular post, she mentions wearing a Sauna Vest to help with her “back fat”. Applying a garment to a particular part of your body may increase perspiration in the area but won’t necessarily promote fat loss in that region. It is similar to the myth that doing exercises (like bicep curls or abdominal crunches) will not reduce fat just in those areas. That being said, strengthening exercises as a group will reduce fat and help with overall caloric burn in addition to cardiovascular exercises like walking on the treadmill and spinning.
